Supporting Digital Female Entrepreneurs Globally

In 2016, Diane was named Chairwomen of the APEC Women's Leadership Forum, and has since been instrumental in advancing concrete ideas to empower women and bringing about significant change in workplaces. Founded by Diane in 2016, APEC Women Connect had a clear mission: to empower women, especially young women, in entrepreneurship through digital solutions. This is achieved through inspirational sharing, practical learning, effective recognition, and awards. Under Diane's leadership, APEC Women Connect successfully trained over 100,000 female-led MSMEs and cultivated more than 1,200 female entrepreneurs. These efforts garnered widespread endorsement from leaders of UN, APEC, and G20 economies, and has been repeatedly included in annual recommendations to APEC and G20 Leaders. The APEC Women Connect Her Power Entrepreneurship Competition has become a hallmark event, drawing over 2,200 female entrepreneurs to share their social commerce experiences. The competition's success emphasized women’s impact on the business landscape. To lower the barriers for women in e-commerce and provide powerful digital tools for young female entrepreneurs to grow their social commerce business, DHGATE launched pioneering social commerce platform MyyShop in 2020. MyyShop provides digitalization tools and support to enable creators to effortlessly monetize their influence on social platforms. MyyShop addresses complex supply chain challenges in cross-border e-commerce using innovative technology and services. Another noteworthy initiative was the APEC CBET Cross-border e-Commerce Training program for MSMEs. This capacity-building program empowered local businesses to expand cross-border e-commerce globally through digital platforms, equipping them with essential knowledge such as data analysis and social commerce. To encourage women globally to rise up and break old stereotypes, Diane is establishing a new international women empowerment community, which will serve as a platform for women to support each other, learn new skills, realize their potential more quickly, and let the world see "Her Power."
