Diane Wang is the Founder, Chairperson and CEO of DHGATE Group and DHgate.com, one of the world’s largest cross-border B2B e-commerce marketplaces. Under Diane’s leadership, DHGATE Group champions fair world trade and diversity by connecting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) globally with high-quality products. With a strategic focus to accelerate digital transformation for MSMEs by empowering women and young people who traditionally have less access to entrepreneurial opportunities, Diane has been instrumental in bringing about significant women’s empowerment change in workplaces. As of December 31, 2023, DHgate serves over 77 million buyers and 2.6 million sellers across 225 countries and regions. Diane collaborates with international organizations to drive the women’s empowerment agenda. To name a few, she is the founder of APEC Women Connect, Chair of APEC Women Leadership Summit, and a member of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance Chinese National Chapter. In October 2023, Diane Wang founded The Inner Mountain Foundation, a global community empowering women to stand up, speak out and make a difference. With chapters in the US and China and a mission to build up and empower communities for women worldwide, The Inner Mountain Foundation provides access to various entrepreneurial resources, training, information and funding for women-owned businesses. The Inner Mountain Foundation — named after Diane’s ‘inner mountain’ philosophy, which is expounded upon in her upcoming book ‘The Inner Mountain’— is a supportive network that promotes the global empowerment of women through education, group activities, and outreach. The Foundation builds on three unique pillars of “Looking Within”, “Community” and “International” to help women with the first step of doing the work within to overcome the limiting beliefs that hold them back from becoming the best possible version of themselves. The Foundation supports self-discovery and mutual upliftment, centered around the concept of 'holding space' — allowing members to share their experiences and challenges in a safe environment. This approach helps women to face personal struggles and foster collective strength, enhancing the personal growth and empowerment journey. The Foundation also invests in offering educational resources, such as soft skills training.
